Armoured
Association Holds Inaugural
Meeting
Over 1,000
ex-members of Australian Armoured formations attended the inaugural
meeting of
the Australian Armoured Corps Association at Commercial rd drill hall,
South Yarra, last night.
Prominent, too, were a number of ex-lighthorse men of the 1914-18 war,
who were also eligible to
join the association. Lieut-General J. Northcott, first commander of the
Australian Armoured Division,
who was present as patron, asked all former members to give the
association full support.
Brigadier J. Locke and Brigadier J. A. Clareborough, who was elected
president, were present.
